I have divided this course in two main components. Each week I will present in one class period the main concepts and theories of population studies while in the other period we will focus in experiencing analysis of demographic data using online databases (Census Bureau, IPUMS data, Gapminder, among others). This course will also introduce students to the analysis and development of population policy and the global discussions on population policies.
